AACC Faculty and Students Visiting UMBC

ME S-STEM Scholars Shared Their Experience

On October 13, 2017, faculty and students from Anne Arundel Community College visited UMBC, via an event coordinated by the Office of Undergraduate Education and College of Engineering.  In the afternoon, they attended a panel discussion with UMBC faculty and students in Engineering.  Two ME undergraduate students and ME S-STEM scholars, Jasmine Bonilla and Randy Deinlein, attended the panel discussion.  Jasmine and Randy shared their experience and life as undergraduate students in Mechanical Engineering, as well as scholarship opportunities such as ME S-STEM scholarship at UMBC.  They also answered questions from the community students during the panel discussion.
This event is part of our ongoing collaboration with our partners in local community colleges to ensure that community students have smooth transfer to ME program at UMBC.
