Dr. Zhu was invited to give a seminar entitled "Mechanical Engineering at UMBC: Opportunity and Scholarship", to students in the Math Honor Society in Mt. Hebron High School. The seminar is focused on three parts: mechanical engineering program at UMBC, the ME S-STEM Scholarship Program, and ongoing research projects in Dr. Zhu's lab. The seminar was well attended by more than 40 students. The high school students were provided an opportunity to get to know the Mechanical Engineering curriculum, the scholarship program in the department, and interesting interdisciplinary research projects currently conducted in the research labs.
