Good Presence of UMBC at BMES Annual Conference

Dr. Zhu and her student Mr. Jacob Lombardo recently attended the annual meeting of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) in San Antonio, TX in October 2022.  Mr. Lombardo is also a ME S-STEM Scholar at UMBC.  He presented a paper based on his ongoing research project of developing an algorithm to predict cooling penetration into deep tissue.  BMES annual conference is well known for connection graduate and undergraduate students to summer research opportunities and graduate school admission in biomedical engineering field. Mr. Lombardo's travel was supported by the ME S-STEM Program.
