Description
Please mark your calendar for the 2nd ME S-STEM research seminar in Fall 2016. It is scheduled on Dec. 9th 2016 at 2:30 pm (Room ITE 231). We are fortunately to have Dr. S H Kang from the Johns Hopkins University to give us a seminar entitled "Design, Fabrication, and Characterization of Architected Materials for Vibration Propagation Control and Reversible Energy Absorption". Dr. Kang has been investigating bioinspired solutions to address current challenge in materials and mechanical systems with applications including energy, safety, and healthcare. He has been studying complex behaviors of material systems and structures with novel properties based on inspiration from nature as well as rational design followed by rapid prototyping using a 3D printer.
