Description
Let's welcome Dr. Yi Duan Arnold from Esco Ventures to UMBC for a seminar entitled "The fascinating placenta and its role in regenerative medicine". Dr. Arnold received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from CUNY, followed by a postdoctoral training at Yale Medical School. After that she joined the Laboratory for Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering at Columbia University and performed research on cardiac tissue engineering. Currently, she is a vice president of R&D and Clinical Development at Esco Ventures in Maryland. The focus of her talk is on biomaterial/tissue engineering for tissue regeneration.
